Brake upgrade

After the bike's first few meters in Faro we noticed  the rear (and only) brake wasnt up to our standards so we went for a rear brake upgrade. The lever's pivot point was on the lower part of the drum and pointing down. It was looking odd and worse,it just wasnt braking enough.
To cut a long story short, after hours of cuttin' and weldin' and a cuttin' and a weldin' this now looks and brakes much better, thank you very much.
This only comes to prove that not even the pros get it right the first time, you know.

Faro Bike Show 2012

In a place where the custom scene does not exist, petrol is very high and money is very low, we were very  happy to find a few bikes that deserve to be mentioned. There were a few other bikes we liked, but I was too knackered to go around taking pictures, so here it is. I'll try to scavange a few more in the next few days.

Undergoing work - Triumph Tiger 750

The final build has started for the Triumph project and so far so good. The bits are not all here yet , still waiting for the chromer and powdercoater to pull their finger out.
This bike is going to be something else, and that's a promise.

Off to paint

The tins were sent off last week for some artwork, some bits were sent to the chromer's and now it's the
frame. Hopefully we'll start building it up for the last time in the middle of next week.

How to...fabricate exhaust pipes

All in all, add 150€ worth of stainless bends to 3 days of patient labour, lots of  TIG gas and welding rod. Some good files to grind the welds down and this is what you get. Although we cant get long radius bends over here,we're pretty pleased.
