2 inch tail light
Right... I've been working on this for some time now. This is the smallest light in our plans. 2" (51mm) outside diameter and 2 1/8" (56mm) long. The body is billet aluminium machined in our lathe and so is the brass front piece, the bracket is 2mm thick stainless steel. I'm still trying to source the light unit wich will be LED or normal 12V bulb , depending on what I can find. The lens is 3mm red pure glass (not painted, not plastic nor perspex) used in church windows.
We'll try to produce 10 units at first and see how it goes.
Let us know your thoughts. Criticism is always welcome as long as you know more about bikes than we do.

Very nice
ReplyDeleteI love the rear light, it looks so neat. All i can add is that if you put a resistor inline in the main loom to the main lamp and bypass that resistor for the brake you then have a stop and tail light in one small package and still only two wires to the light. I'm sure you know that and i dont want to tell you how to "suck eggs" but i dont have anything else constuctive to add.
ReplyDeleteI would happily part with my hard earned cash for one though
Hi Rob. I've been working on bikes for some time now, even wiring them from scratch and struggling to get all the wires through bars and frames and your idea NEVER came to mind. It's like not finding the milk bottle in the fridge when its sitting 2 inches away from your eyes...
DeleteCheers
if the price is alright, we can come up with something.....send me details, but i really prefer 12v bulb....one for me, another for a customers bike....
ReplyDeleteIncredible work guys, absolutely flawless in both design and manufacture.
ReplyDeletei assume you're being sarcastic, which is fair enough. I can take it. I'm going to bed now, to cry myself to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI'd still like to buy a light if you have one to sell.
You got it wrong. I was being as honest as it is humanly possible.
DeleteYou do know what I mean. Sometimes we're looking for a solution but our head is so stuck in it we fail to see the big picture.
PS-When I say "stuck in it", I mean "in solving the problem".
Cheers dude!
cool. I thought you was taking the piss.
ReplyDeleteglad to help.
Rob
